In 1997, Klaus Füßer founded the Leipzig law firm Füßer & Kollegen with the aim of creating a boutique law firm specializing in public law. Within just a few years, he has not only succeeded in doing so, but also in firmly establishing the firm in the market and giving it his very own stamp. Füßer & Kollegen is characterized on the one hand by formal rigor, but on the other hand by a high motivation to think independently at a high level - even beyond conventional ways.

From internal organization to re-submission management and corporate design, Klaus Füßer has left nothing to chance. His outstanding legal skills and intellectual agility enabled him to familiarize himself with new areas of law in a very short time, so that throughout his professional life he was never really a specialist, but always a generalist in public law. However, no one was able to stand up to him so quickly in the areas he was currently dealing with, be it in the early years on European territorial protection, on numerous questions of planning approval for large-scale infrastructure projects or, among other things, on the law on monuments and on the legal entitlement to a daycare place.

Klaus Füßer not only laid a solid foundation for the firm and its continued existence, but also left behind a rich treasure trove of publications on a wide variety of topics. We remain grateful to him.
